The World Upright Meaning

The World is card number XXI of the Major Arcana — the 22 cards that describe life's biggest lessons and turning points. When it appears in a reading, it usually points to a significant theme rather than a passing event.

The World marks completion. A cycle ends successfully, and you feel whole and accomplished — ready for the next journey.

The World Reversed Meaning

Reversed, The World suggests something is unfinished; seek closure before moving on.

Reversed cards don't automatically mean something bad — they often point to energy that is blocked, delayed or turned inward. Read our guide to reversed tarot cards.

The World in Love & Relationships

In love, The World brings fulfilment: a relationship reaching a beautiful milestone or feeling complete within yourself.

Reversed in a love reading, The World suggests the themes above are blocked or out of balance: incompletion, lack of closure, delays, shortcuts.

The World as Feelings

As feelings, someone feels complete, fulfilled and content with you.

The World in Career & Money

In career, The World signals achievement, completed projects and international opportunities.
