Free Tarot Reading: Past, Present & Future
Uses the full 78-card deck. Cards can appear reversed.
How This Free Tarot Reading Works
Our tool shuffles the full Rider-Waite structure of 78 cards — 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor Arcana — and deals three cards. Each card can appear upright or reversed, just like in a physical reading. The positions are the classic past, present and future.
Take a breath, focus on one question, and turn the cards in order. Read each card in its position first, then look at the story they tell together.
How to Read Your Three Cards
- Past — the influence or event that shaped the situation.
- Present — the energy around you now.
- Future — the likely direction if nothing changes.
Notice patterns: several Major Arcana suggest big life themes; many Cups point to emotions; Swords to thoughts and conflict. More in our three-card spread guide.
